‘For example, I manage a Finance team that supports around 23 sites across the region. If we are up to date with payments, it makes a really positive difference to the relationships individual sites have with suppliers. So it is much easier for the Site Managers to hit deadlines. Every little helps.
‘I find it really rewarding being in such close contact with sites. Even though my role is office-based, I have to understand the issues Site Managers face and make sure they have everything they need for the build to progress. We also provide lots of information to the Divisional board, so that they understand what is happening on each site and how efficiently the organisation is running. When a build finishes, you can see the difference your work has made - especially when people start moving into their new homes.’
